Just Published joins the Webstore
Want to know what standards have just been published? Now, thanks to a new feature in the IEC Webstore, you can glimpse all the new IEC publications, as and when they are issued.
Just Published has its own dynamically maintained page in the IEC Webstore
For people used to receiving the bi-monthly email, Just Published, the name will be familiar. Until now, Just Published, with its reference list of all the latest IEC publications, was sent out twice a month as an email to some 25 000 subscribers and the list remained accessible, but static, on the IEC website.

Now, that webpage has a new look and also some new functionality:
- The new 2010 version of IEC Just Published is online and it's user adjustable
- Just Published is updated daily
- Publications are organized into technology categories
- Just Published is a dynamic document
The new automatically generated process brings the list up to date on a daily basis. It's a dynamic process so every day references of the most recent first few publications are displayed on the Webstore entry page. The list is always up to date so there's no need to wait to find out what has been issued recently.
Choose the time span and browse by main subjects
From the Webstore entry page you can get further information about new publications. Click the Just Published menu link and open up a new page to display the latest publications organized by main subjects. The default setting gives all those issued in the last month, but click the time box on the right to narrow down your search to the past two weeks, week or even the past day of publications.
Publications are organized by technology sectors. Click the Open all or Close all boxes to see the relevant details of all publications or refine your search or expand categories individually clicking the 4sign (expand menu) next to the subject category. The figure in brackets shows how many publications have been issued in each category.
As in the previous Just Published, the list gives the publication references, together with any references of Series updates and of replaced/withdrawn IEC International Standards.
Two ways to obtain further information on publications
- Click the document icon in the list and read a preview version of the publication.
- Click the publication reference to obtain publication details including a short abstract, information on the Technical Committee responsible for the International Standard, the ICS Codes, the price and relevant links.
Email messages to continue on a monthly basis
Every first working day of each month the IEC will continue to send out an email message to those on the mailing list. For more information about mailing lists,
You can also subscribe to the RSS News feed  to receive regular alerts about new publications. Simply click the orange icon on the Webstore entry page to reach the IEC Webstore ¦ RSS News page. There you can click the subscribe to this feed link (yellow rectangle) and add the link to your news reader.

IEC Catalogue 2010 now available
The IEC Catalogue 2010 on CD contains an application that has to be installed on a computer (PC only). The application allows you to keep the Catalogue you have installed on your machine up-to-date using either a direct online connection or, if you are running it on a standalone computer that has no Internet connection, with update files, which are sent to you every two weeks.
The application provides access to the entire Catalogue of International Standards, Technical Specifications, Technical Reports and other IEC documents. It also lists IEC National Committees and appointed sales outlets.
The search functions on the Catalogue are the same as those on the IEC Webstore. You can search for text as well as Publication references, dates, Technical Committees and ICS (International Classification for Standards) codes. You also have the possibility of searching for IEC Publications in French or Spanish.
You can mark the Publications you use most and add them to a list, easily accessible with a single click. In this way, each time you update your catalogue you can check your Favourites list to find out if a new edition has been issued, or if one has been replaced or withdrawn. The documents that have changed in your list will be clearly highlighted with a colour-coded marker. |
