GridWeek 2010
The global conference for Smart Grid – empowering our energy future through collaboration, education and conversation
Smart Grid technology provides a means for grid operators to manage power needs in a more efficient and economic manner in a world in which there are increasing challenges to provide a reliable supply of electricity while dealing with increasing unpredictability and growing demand. The March 2010 e-tech reported a California conference in which the IEC was taking part, Grid ComForum, for grid operators and technology suppliers to discuss the next-generation power grid and those business and technology management issues necessary to realize the benefits of an intelligent grid.
From 18-21 October 2010, GridWeek, considered by industry leaders as the most important annual gathering for Smart Grid experts, will take place in Washington, DC, US (United States).
Continually defining Smart Grid
This will be the fourth year of GridWeek, which will be moving to a larger venue at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, where it is set again to define the thought leadership of Smart Grid, from policy to industry changes and key issues.
