I tried to connect to the server using the login and password the administrator gave me, and I had a message that either the username or password is not valid

The username and password are case sensitive, please check that you entered them correctly

I am a member and could not access the upload directory

You can only copy your own documents in this directory, you can not see its contents

I logged to the server, it get through the username and password, but then I had the message "Receive error: Blocking call cancelled, Retrieve of directory listing failed"

The firewall in your company allows you to send data but not to receive any, you sent the username and password, but could not receive the content of your folder. Please contact your local IT support

I moved some documents on the folder download but the members can not access them

Please check the access rights on these files in the download directory, they should be as follows - owner:rwx / group: rx / public: none (numeric field 750). You can change the access rights in most FTP client software, by selecting the files concerned, right-clicking and choosing File Attributes.

The document I download using ftp://scxxmem:password@ftp.iec.ch seems to be corrupted (or has a virus), could you provide another copy

You do not receive copy of your own e-mail, if you want a copy, you should add your name in the Copy field

I sent an attachment to a mailing list and some members did not receive it properly, if I send the attachment directly to these members, it works fine

This problem only affects some mail systems, hopefully the next release of Lotus Notes will solve the problem

Only the members and owners of a list can send e-mail to the list, please check to see if you are a member or owner by contacting the owner of the list

No, we do not modify passwords. First, make sure you enter the password correctly (case sensitive) and that you have not entered any spurious characters (e.g. spaces), if you still have the problem, please contact your National Committee and they will reset your password

I received a confirmation of my access to the Graphical Symbols database but it is not working.

You should try to regenerate your password, then wait 24 hours, the access will be OK. When you regenerate your password, you may re-use your current password

Make sure you entered your password properly (case sensitive); if you do not remember your password, please contact your National Committee and they will reset your password

It is now a requirement that all voting and commenting on IEC documents be carried out using the IEC's electronic voting system (see Administrative Circular 15/2001). The e-mail address votes@iec.ch will therefore shortly no longer be available. Comments and votes sent to this address will not be taken into account. I have to vote on a document, could you give me the access

You should submit your request to your National Committee, they will then contact the Central Office to activate the access rights

I have to vote on document xx/xxx/xx but it does not appear on the voting system

A

 

Please check that the voting is not closed; if it is still open, please contact your Technical Officer at the Central Office. Alternatively, use the “Status for a particular document” option on the initial voting page.

You should have Acrobat Reader 4.0 minimum, please check the version you are using, you can download the latest version from http://www.adobe.com

The PCL XL errors are typically printer errors, please also refer to Hewlett Packard web site for the suggested solutions: http://www.hp.com/
